When: Mondays 6:30pm – 9:00pm Where: Pacific Road

Whether you play already or are considering learning to play an instrument e.g. guitar, drums or keyboards, or you are interested in making music using music technology, these sessions are for you. You will work with like-minded young musicians, professional musicians and experienced facilitators towards regular gigs at Pacific Road and other venues across Merseyside.

SOUND STEPS VOCAL WORKSHOPS

When: Wednesdays 6:30pm – 9:00pm Where: Pacific Road

Working with a professional vocal coach you will be supported to improve your vocal skills by taking part in group and solo singing. You will also improve your harmony skills and work with all genres of contemporary music including Pop, R'n'B and Rock. Whether you are a complete beginner or a more experienced singer, there will be value in taking part in these fun and energised sessions. This project culminates in a performance at Pacific Road in February.

VOLTAGE - V Music Volunteer Programme

Voltage is a music volunteering programme for young people aged 16-25 supported by the National Foundation for Youth Music. Funded by v, the youth volunteering charity, Voltage gives young people the chance to act as ambassadors for music and to make a positive difference to their local community. Voltage aims to help young people build their confidence and gain new skills with the opportunity to acquire rewards and accreditation for their contributions to the programme.

Voltage is being implemented by the following five delivery partners across England and WYT has been selected to implement the scheme in Merseyside.

REVERBERATE

A pan-Merseyside project supported by the National Association for Youth Music and designed to give young bands an opportunity to perform and develop their skills. Bands and solo artists will be supported to organise and play their own gigs in venues such as the Picket in Liverpool and Pacific Road. We will also be offering young women additional workshops and a recording project to help develop their skills and increase their performance opportunities.
